Teaching Awards
Dr. Folse has won several teaching awards. At the 2007 International TESOL Conference in Seattle, he received the International Thomson Heinle Excellence in Teaching Award. (The $1,000 award was donated to the Emily de Montluzin Scholarship Fund for college-bound students from his home area of Hancock County, Mississippi.) In 2004, he was selected as the outstanding graduate professor in UCF's College of Arts and Sciences. Subsequently, he was chosen as the university-wide recipient of an excellence in teaching award as well.
